FAQ

Fair questions. Straight answers.

The things dealers actually ask us — about switching, the AI, your data, and what it costs. Something missing? Book a demo and ask us live.

GETTING STARTED

How long does it take to switch from our current DMS?

Most rooftops are live in under two weeks. We import your inventory, customer records and deal history directly — VINs, photos, recon history, the lot. Your team keeps working in the old system until the day you flip; nothing runs in parallel for months.

Do my people need training?

About an hour per role. The screen assembles around what each person does — a buyer sees lanes and bid ceilings, a tech sees the shop queue — so there's no 400-page manual. Most teams are faster in Acta Motus by the end of week one than they were in the tool they used for years.

We run three rooftops. Does it handle multi-store?

Yes — each rooftop keeps its own inventory, P&L and team, and the principal gets a group view across all of them. Vehicles transfer between stores with their full history attached.

THE AI COPILOT

Can the AI spend money or message customers on its own?

No — and this is by design, not a setting. The copilot drafts: recon estimates, bid ceilings, price drops, customer replies. Every draft sits in a queue until a human approves it. Nothing becomes a commitment, a payment or an outbound message without a person clicking approve.

Where do the AI's numbers come from?

Live market comps, auction results, vehicle history providers, and your own store's history — what similar units actually cost you to recon and how fast they turned. Every drafted number shows its sources, so you can check the math before you keep it.

Is our data used to train models for other dealers?

No. Your deal history, margins and customer data stay inside your account. Market-level signals (like regional comp velocity) come from licensed data sources, not from other dealers' private records.

What happens when the AI gets it wrong?

You edit or reject the draft, and that's the end of it — nothing was committed. Low-confidence drafts are flagged as such and never sit next to a one-click approve. Every AI suggestion is logged, so you can audit what it proposed and what your team actually did.

DATA & SECURITY

Who owns our data?

You do — unambiguously. Vehicle records, deal jackets, customer information and financials belong to your dealership. Export everything at any time, and if you leave, your data stays exportable for 90 days after cancellation.

Is it secure enough for customer PII and deal documents?

SOC 2 Type II audited, encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Role-based access runs down to individual fields — a lot tech never sees a customer's financing details — and every change to a record is logged and attributable.

Does it work on the lot, in the lane, in the shop?

Yes — it's built for phones first. VIN scans in the auction lane, inspection checklists in the shop, photo capture on the lot. Spotty signal is fine: work syncs when you're back on coverage, and in-progress items save as you go.

PRICING & BILLING

How is it priced?

Per rooftop, per month — flat, with unlimited users. No per-seat charges, no per-deal fees, no charge for the AI copilot. See the pricing tiers for what's in each plan.

Is there a contract?

Month to month. Cancel any time — no early-termination fees, no clawbacks. We'd rather earn the renewal every month than lock you in.

What does onboarding cost?

Nothing. Data migration, setup and role training are included on every plan — switching costs are our problem to remove, not yours to absorb.
